Here’s how the procedure works:

• First, you’ll have a consultation with Dr. Milanes to assess your body and goals to ensure liposuction is right for you
• The night before, you’ll take an antibiotic to prevent infection
• On the day of your procedure, you are allowed to have a meal. then you will take another antibiotic.
• When you arrive at Luminary MD, we’ll take before photos, confirm your treatment plan, and mark your body. If you want, we’ll provide pain medication for you to take.
• The target area will be numbed and then Dr. Milanes will begin your liposuction procedure. During the procedure, you’ll be awake and able to listen to music, browse the internet, or talk to our team if you like.
• After you’re done, you’ll be cleaned and wrapped in a compression garment to help with swelling.
